Dr. Spillane grew up in the area and attended Detroit Catholic Central High School. He continued his education at the University of Michigan where he received his bachelor’s degree and then his dental degree. Dr. Spillane also completed his specialty training at the University of Michigan and received a master’s degree in Orthodontics. As you might expect, he is a great fan of U of M and always cheering GO BLUE! Dr. Spillane and his wife, Stephanie, live in Novi with their 3 children.
Dr. Spillane is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the Michigan Association of Orthodontists. To ensure contemporary knowledge in the latest innovations and techniques of the specialty of orthodontics, Dr. Spillane routinely attends continuing education seminars.
Dr. Jamie Reynolds is a dynamic and dedicated professional and one of the nation’s leading voices on high-tech and accelerated orthodontics. He is a leading authority in his field, an in-demand speaker, a relentless innovator, and a successful private-practice orthodontist. Dr. Reynolds received his undergraduate and dental degrees from the University of Michigan and his master’s degree in orthodontics from the University of Detroit-Mercy. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, Member of American Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists, and travels across the country and around the world for continuing education to stay abreast of the latest orthodontic technology and trends. Also the author of World-Class Smiles, Made in Detroit: The Straight-Shooting Orthodontist’s Guide to Your Amazing Smile, he cuts through the jargon to clearly answer the most common questions about orthodontics, such as what age is best to seek orthodontic care, how to achieve accelerated results, and the pros and cons of the most current treatment options available. Dr. Reynolds is one of the most renowned and respected authorities in orthodontics with an unrivaled dedication to philanthropy, education, and the advancement of orthodontic treatment. He lives in the Detroit area with his wife, Dawn, and their three children and can be found bumming around a beach volleyball court, trying his best at wake surfing and spending time with his family.
Dr. Jeffrey Heinz grew up in Commerce twp., MI. He grew up riding dirt bikes, skiing, hunting, fishing, and enjoying the outdoors as much as possible. After graduating from Michigan State University, he attended the University of Detroit Mercy for dental school. After practicing general dentistry for a year in Southfield and Milford, MI, Dr. Heinz decided to take one final step in his education and attended Indiana University, where he became an orthodontist. Today, he continues to stay active outdoors spending time with his family and two dogs, Trigger and Quad, as well as volunteering as a ski instructor at the Mt. Brighton Adaptive Sports Program.
Dr. Brian Potocki grew up outside of East Lansing, Michigan. Following his family tradition and a strong love for the maize and blue, he attended the University of Michigan. After achieving his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences, he was accepted to the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery. From there, he chose to serve his country, continuing his career as an Officer of the United States Air Force. Dr. Brian completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH, before serving three years as a general dentist at Cannon Air Force Base in Clovis, NM. Upon the completion of his service with the Air Force, he was accepted to the Orthodontic Residency Program at Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine, achieving his Certificate in Orthodontics and a Masters of Science in Dentistry. Additionally, Dr. Brian is married to Dr. Melisa Potocki, a practicing Pediatric Dentist and has two beautiful young daughters.
Dr. Leah Vernacchia grew up in Northville, MI. She graduated from Northville High School in 2009 and became a Michigan State Spartan— Go Green! In 2013, she graduated from MSU with a degree in Human Biology and a concentration in Bioethics, Humanities & Society. Later that year, she began at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, participating in philanthropic outreach events such as ‘Give Kids A Smile’ during her time in dental school. Dr. Leah graduated from dental school in 2017, and got married two weeks later to Andy Vernacchia, who is also a Northville native! Dr. Leah completed her Orthodontic residency at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine in New Jersey, and she is thrilled to be back home in Michigan. Dr. Leah enjoys spending time with family & friends, traveling, skiing, reading, and Zumba!
Dr. Jennifer Bonamici grew up on the island of Grosse Ile, Michigan where she graduated as her class Valedictorian. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Human Biology at Michigan State University and still enjoys cheering on the Spartans! At graduation, she was awarded the Board of Trustee’s Award for graduating in the top 1% at MSU. Dr. Bonamici decided to further her education in the field of dentistry and attended the University of Detroit Mercy. While she was in dental school, she earned the National Award of Excellence from the American Student Dental Association for her dedication to patient care and for her involvement in various organizations. She proceeded to attend the University of Minnesota for her orthodontic residency where she was elected to be her class representative. After graduation, she moved back home to the Metro-Detroit area and married her husband, Benjamin Underwood. Dr. Bonamici is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Michigan Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, and Michigan Dental Association. Dr. Bonamici loves spending time golfing, cooking new recipes, trying new restaurants, traveling, and enjoying outdoor activities in all of Michigan’s four seasons.
